INTRODUCTION

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is the primary foreign intelligence agency of the United States (US). It was formed after World War II, in 1947. To this day, it is perceived by most as the most powerful intelligence agency, being the primary tool of the US for covert operations.

The CIA, since its founding, has been subject to many conspiracy theories. These theories most surely include the events of September 11th, 2001 (better known as 9/11), in which the Twin Towers serving as the World Trade Center were hit by consecutive planes, killing 2977 people. This event eventually resulted in the US declaring a (justified) war against Afghanistan. Some thought the whole event was a CIA operation to justify war, while others think it really was done by a radical jihadist, Osama bin Laden. Either way, the CIA had undeniable success in finding bin Laden, resulting in his death.

Over 24 years later, most of the details of the operations are still wondered upon, and the “conspiracy theorists” have yet to seize their curiosity upon whether the CIA knew or even did the events of 9/11.

In this committee, we will put an end to the curiosity, reliving every moment after 9/11.
