Letter from the Secretary General

Distinguished Participants,

It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you all to MUNEA’26. On behalf of our team, I would like to say that we are truly excited to have you here. We have worked really hard to create a meaningful and enjoyable experience, and we hope this conference will be educational, memorable and enjoyable for you all.

My name is Mustafa Gürmeriç and I am honored to serve as the Secretary General of MUNEA’26. Model United Nations means a lot to me because I have made lots of friends, started good relationships, learned new things and it has added something very remarkable to my life during this journey.
Now I am working with such a dedicated and supportive team who are my close friends in real life and in MUN that makes me feel thrilled and grateful.
I believe that discussing different ideas, collaborating and not turning a blind eye to global issues at MUN conferences plays a crucial role in making our world a better place. Through the committees and topics, MUNEA’26 aims to give you a space where you can debate, collaborate and make a change.

I would like to thank my Deputy-Secretary General, Hamza Taha Yılmazer. He is one of my closest friends in my life. We’ve been sharing lots of memories together for three years now, and I really appreciate that he always stands with me in everything, especially during MUN conferences we have attended. I also would like to thank my other Deputy-Secretary General, Elif Aynacıoğlu. She is such a great person and a great friend. Whenever I needed her she was there for me. I also send my appreciation to our Director General, Yiğit Efe Koçak. Whether it’s the academy or the organization, he always does his best for MUNEA. His efforts are truly invaluable. Thanks to him for being by my side throughout this organization period. And my thanks also goes to our Deputy Director General, Esila Kara. Her efforts means a lot for all of us, I appreciate her for supporting us in any condition. Most importantly I would like to thank to Aysun Akkan Memiş and Yasemen Erdoğan, our Advisors. Their significant work means really a lot to us. Lots of thanks to all of our organization team. I’m truly glad to be working with a wonderful team like this, thank you all individually, all heads and members. Last but not least, I appreciate all of my friends who have supported me throught my MUN journey and helped me make this conference possible.

I truly believe that MUNEA’26 will be an unforgettable experience for all of us.

Letter from the Director General

Esteemed Participants,

With great pleasure and honor, I welcome you to the second annual edition of MUNEA, MUNEA’26. I am Yiğit Efe Koçak and serving as the Director General of MUNEA’26.

When I think about my first MUN conference experience I realize that I had a big process until now. In my first experience I was delegate of Morocco and I was scared to talk but today I am writing this letter to you as a member of our conferences Executive Team. While my journey slowly comes to an end, I swear that I will remember every second of my MUN memories. Approximately one and a half year ago I preferred my first committee preference as ICJ and I was not sure about that. During my first court experience I said that ” I will never ever be in a court committee again ” but currently I really enjoy being a part of court committees more than my math projects.

In my journey, I have met with some people that changed my life so thank you everyone who supported me in difficult situations. Especially I would like to thank Mustafa, Hamza, Elif and my deputy Esila they are like my family while we are organizing the best conference ( Since I’m hiding my words to my speeches thats all I want to say for now). I appreciate all efforts of our academic team, they are trying their best to create amazing committees for you. I would like to thank all of my heads. First my heads of logistics Melis and Mustafa Kemal, I am not thinking about our logistics for a second actually because they are perfect for this position (by the way thank you Mustafa Kemal for accepting this position). Thanks to my heads of PR Eylül and Elif. Eylül is one my best friends and I’m absolutely sure about she will handle it perfectly this opportunity. Elif and Eylül are creating best videos of all the time. Thanks to my head of entertainment Melek. I was thinking about ” Who has to be the head of entertainment?” and I decided to put Melek to this position because I observed that head of entertainments should be everything you need to make this conference unforgettable. Also thanks to my head of IT, Fatih. If you can read this letter now it’s because of him. I would like to thank to my heads of security Yağız and Yiğit. They are perfect for this position. I would like to thank to my head of admin Hasan, deputy-head of admin Müge and head of press Rüya, I don’t have any concerns about administrative things and press photos because I’m positive that they are going to run their works smoothly. Lastly I would like to thank our advisors Yasemen and Aysun Teacher. Without their endless effort this conference cannot be possible.

MUNEA’26 is where can you discuss about crisises the nations faces and making our world better place for the next generations. We hope that you will enjoy being a part of our conference. I wish all of you inspiring debates and amazing committee sessions because we are working so hard to make this conference possible.
